Façade cleaning

An inviting and clean facade is an important presentation of the company. Regular washing protects the building from wear and tear. This can save the company large maintenance costs.

Ropes and climbing equipment make it possible for Høyden to access backyards, high-rise buildings and commercial buildings where lifts and scaffolding are of little use. We can therefore clean facades wherever there is a need for cleaning.

We enter the facade by establishing anchor points on the roof and rappelling down to the facade. We are always anchored in two different anchor points. So that if the main rope should be damaged, we always have a safety barrier. This is in accordance with the Working Environment Act's requirements for safe traffic at height. Safety is always our first priority when we work at height. The area under the work site is secured with physical barriers and a ground guard. All equipment and tools, as well as loose objects, are secured properly so that they do not fall to the ground.

When cleaning facades, we use different tools depending on the different materials. Cleaning brick facades requires different products than cleaning glass facades.

We decide which products to use during an inspection before washing. To protect the environment, we only use Nordic Swan Ecolabeled products for cleaning, and we are always keen to use products with as low a Ph as possible. A facade that is not maintained with regular washing will require stronger chemicals and in some cases mechanical washing, which will be unfortunate for the facade, costly and time-consuming.

We recommend that all property owners wash their facade annually, for the sake of the building, the environment and the increased costs that poor maintenance entails. In many cases, we have found that annual cleaning can be as simple as washing facades with cold or hot water without using a significant amount of chemicals to ensure the best possible environmental protection.

The jobs are carried out at a fixed price. This creates predictability for customers. Certifications for the use of lifts and access techniques (rope access) are a matter of course at Høyden AS.
