Farrisbrua

Farrisbrua is an iconic cable-stayed bridge that goes in a horizontal curve around Farrisvannet in Vestfold. Høyden delivered cleaning and assembly work for the construction project.

During the construction process of the bridge, natural movements in the construction meant that grease in the wires on the bridge towers came to the surface and consequently had to be cleaned before they could be painted. Høyden developed a soap solution that did not affect the drinking water source Farrisvannet and cleaned all wires before they were painted. We also mounted the fittings that encapsulate the wires on the bridge towers. The assembly was done by rope access technicians who transferred the fittings from the tower crane and installed them on the bridge towers.
