Green operations

Høyden contributes to a greener cityscape by performing and facilitating rope access work. By using Høydens methods, developers, contractors and operating companies can achieve a more environmentally friendly operation than by using traditional methods such as lifts, scaffolding and facade lift solutions.

Rope access

No emissions

Høydens access technicians rely on muscle power as their primary energy source when performing services. There's no need for lifts or scaffolding access and installation. This results in emission-free property operations and construction sites

Facilitation of work in ropes

Green roofs

Høydens installed rope access systems are space-efficient. This provides more space for green areas, beehives and solar installations on roofs and facades.

Green ground plane

At ground level, space can be freed up for green areas as there is no need to facilitate lift access.

Low material use

By minimizing the use of materials, Høyden helps to reduce the overall use of materials in the construction and renovation of buildings.

Long service life

With no machinery, electronics or mechanical parts, Høydens systems require minimal maintenance and have a lifetime similar to that of a building

Architectural freedom

The flexibility of Høydens systems gives architects greater freedom to find innovative green solutions

Høyden was certified as an Eco-Lighthouse in 2024

ISO 14001 certification

Eco-Lighthouse certification is equivalent to ISO 14001 certification for environmental management and is recognized by the EU.

Requirements or routines

Being certified as an Eco-Lighthouse sets requirements for routines and actions in areas such as waste management, transportation and purchasing. In addition to the external environment, there are also requirements for working environment procedures.

Example project

Kristian Augusts gate 13

Høydens solutions were used by Entra in 2020 in its construction project in Kristian Augusts gate 13. This construction project had a strong focus on the environment, reuse of materials and innovative solutions to reduce resource use. The project is a pilot project for circular buildings according to FutureBuilt. Høyden's installed solution for fall arrest and rope access has, among other things, provided increased space for sedum on roofs.

Høyden is a member of the Green Building Alliance and wants to contribute to a greener and more environmentally friendly construction and real estate sector and to be able to give buildings a higher BREEAM rating.
